Grief Group Guidelines:

The Zoom meeting will open at the scheduled time. If there are no participants at the start time, I will hold the meeting open for 15 minutes for latecomers. If you plan to attend but know you will be late, please shoot me a text so I know to wait. Otherwise, the meeting will be closed for access.

Please respect the privacy of all members. This is a private group and we strive to create a safe environment where everyone feels comfortable expressing and sharing their emotions without fear or judgement. For the protection of everyone's privacy, screenshots and recording are not allowed. For safety purposes, you will be required to use your camera during the Zoom grief sessions.

Make an effort to listen to the speaker with full attention. It can be challenging to not speak out or give advice, but if you take a moment to pause and listen, you will discover a wealth of knowledge in the experience of others. 

It's important for others to express themselves freely without being offered opinions or advice. Your insights are certainly appreciated, but it's best to wait until asked. Some participants are seeking guidance while others simply need to be heard. 

Everyone is encouraged to express their emotions. This is a safe place! You're free to share your thoughts, emotions and experiences. While you are encouraged to share your story, you are not required to speak. It's okay to just log on and listen. There is healing in both speaking up and in listening to others. Please use respectful language and basic courtesy when speaking in group & mute yourself when not speaking.

Grief is heavy. we are all here because we have lost something precious and meaningful to us. It's important to remember that no grief is greater than another. Loss comes in many forms and we respect all forms of loss here. Opening up is challenging and we approach this with kindness and compassion - not judgement.
